Along with any move comes the desire to decorate. We only plan to be in this house for the next 18 months, so it’s not a good time to go crazy, but still I can’t help myself. I’ll take one of everything at Joinery, like this large woven rug (just $160, but out of stock) and this dressing ladder (also just $160).
And don’t forget the clothes. The perfect poncho for a chilly Boulder evening? On sale, but still $255. Love this blue dress too, especially the hem (blue dresses forever!) but it’s also over $200 on sale.
Dude, people are doing some pretty amazing things with zip ties. This is exactly the kind of stuff that inspires me, and there’s a fresh pack of neon zip ties with my name on it. Look out…

Want to really get to know your guests this holiday season? Psychoanalyze them using Rorschach Ink Blot place mats! I had a blast making these a few weeks ago – check out the full DIY on Whimseybox.
We used DecoArt Ink Effects (I cannot get enough of this stuff!) to print the design and then sewed the fabric into place mats, but you could also skip the sewing and start with purchased place mats.
We just shared this DIY Gold Caviar Coaster project on the Whimseybox blog. I love how it turned out! In fact, I’m thinking of painting everything gold for the holidays Go check it out!
Yay, I’m so happy this day has arrived. Halloween? No, the new issue of Rue Magazine is out today featuring a Whimseybox DIY (check us out on pages 64-67!) and so is the first video from our shoot at Whimseybox last week. And, they’re the same project! Totally NOT a coincidence
Here’s a shot that didn’t make the cut at Rue. You can find the full step-by-step instructions for this project here.
