Rain, Rain and The Week That Was–February 17, 2012

by Alicia on February 17, 2012

For most of the past year Houston (all of Texas?) has been in a super ultra severe draught. That’s bad, of course, for the farmers and the trees and threat of wildfires but I had gotten pretty used to seeing the bright sunshine every day. Now we’re in for a few days of rain and I’m totally bummed! Plus I prefer to take pictures in the bright natural light so it’s slowing up a DIY. Come on sunshine! I hope it’s sunny wherever you are this weekend. What’s the best thing you saw this week? Here are some of my favorites.

- Beautiful folk rugs by Sylvain Willenz.
- The Secret Squirrel fall collection, Art Class, is geometric perfection.
- Of course I love the latest from 3.1 Philip Lim.
- Jewelry that mixes concrete and 18 karat gold!

I’m in Houston too and while I appreciate the rain it is bumming me out. I’ve been pushing back a shoot for weeks now.

I knew I couldn’t be the only one. I always tell people that I’m solar-powered and it’s true!
