As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I recently joined Pinterest as myself. (Before I pinned as Whimseybox, but now that we have the awesome Rachel taking over community management I decided to stop torpedoing her efforts with inspiration for my dream home every 5 minutes.)
But here’s the thing- Pinterest must think I’m a guy. Do you remember the short setup process you do when you setup an account by choosing images you like? Well I don’t know what the hell I clicked, but for some reason Pinterest thinks I’m into:
1. Dinosaurs!?
2. Men’s Shoes
3. Surfing
4. Fishing
5. Well-dressed men.
Ok, I’ll give you that one, Pinterest…

^^ Kind of funny, if I may say so…
But dinosaurs?! Really?! I only get Funny signs, hair tutorials and DIYs.

Holy crap. This is way too hilarious!
Haha. This totally cracked me up.
You can unfollow these people by going to their accounts and clicking an almost invisible “unfollow”-button in the middle. I had the same problem at the beginning, but now I like my pinterest: It’s full of DIY, well dressed women and other things I like
Thanks I just did and I can now report 100% fewer dinosaurs!
Hilarious! Amazing how some of these algorithms get things all mixed up.
what’s wrong with dinosaurs?
jk, mine in almost entirely DIYs, funny pics, and quirky home accessories.
yeah, mine is much better now that someone told me to unfollow the strange accounts pinterest picked out for me!
