April Showers and The Week That Was – April 1, 2011

Some weeks you’ve got it, and some weeks you remake the same necklace three different ways and still hate it. This week was solidly in the latter category *until* yesterday afternoon when my plan to recover some throw pillows for the bedroom turned into a skirt. A cute one! It needs one final detail before I share it, but let me say that stripes are involved. Do you ever have weeks like this?

OUT THERE
- Fun, colorful DIYS this week – bracelets on  I Spy DIY, a skirt on Glitter N Glue & a bag on PS I Made This.
- Cool DIY crate shelves on Eat Live Shop.
- A bazillion online mags released new issues – check out the latest Covet Garden, EST, Styled, Matchbook and Dabble.
- The Etsy blog shared The Laundromat Project which is the genius idea of bringing art supplies to places where people are already gathering. I *love* this program.

IN HERE
- I made some DIY cork coasters.
- And got a new rug.

ELSEWHERE
- I recommended some great DIY fashion blogs in Well-Worn, my IndieFixx column,
- And take a look at the tassel trend and DIYs on Think Crafts.
- Plus, lots of pretty stuff on my Tumblr.
